Help Please:
ReplyDeleteI just purchased my new (used) Fairway. I am trying to find out what type of motor oil/oil filter I am suppose to use. Never came with owners manual. Any help would be great.
The fairway owner's manual recommends 10w/40 to API SE/CC. Probably more important is to change the oil regularly, than the 'quality' of oil you put in. I am about to change the oil again and put Morris Lubricants golden film 10w40 for canal boats (because my ex-FX4 TD 27 is installed in a narrowboat) for its prevention of bore-glazing (the engine runs at low revs, low load for electricity generation). However, for general running the Morris servol 10w40 or any mineral based or semi-synthetic (I would go for the cheaper option) should be fine.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the advise Patrick
ReplyDeleteThe Nissan engine is in the 90s Nissan Terrano and Ford Maverick but with a turbo and intercooler and WAY more umph.
